A Simple, Stunning Smile Transformation
Not every smile improvement requires weeks of treatment, multiple appointments, or a significant financial investment. Sometimes the most impactful changes are also the simplest — and dental bonding is one of the clearest examples of that truth.
At Polished Smiles of Round Rock, dental bonding is one of our most popular cosmetic treatments — and it is easy to understand why. In a single appointment, Dr. Daniel Im or Dr. Laura Maxey can correct chips, cracks, gaps, discoloration, and minor shape irregularities using a tooth-colored composite resin material that blends seamlessly with your natural smile. The results are immediate, beautiful, and remarkably affordable.
We proudly serve patients throughout Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Georgetown, Hutto, and the greater Austin area.

What is Dental Bonding?
Dental bonding is a cosmetic and restorative dental procedure in which a tooth-colored composite resin material is applied directly to the surface of a tooth, sculpted into the desired shape, hardened with a curing light, and polished to a natural-looking finish. The resin is carefully color-matched to your surrounding teeth, making the result virtually indistinguishable from natural tooth enamel.
Unlike porcelain veneers — which are fabricated in a dental laboratory and require two or more appointments — dental bonding is performed entirely chairside in a single visit and requires little to no removal of natural tooth structure. This makes it one of the most conservative, accessible, and time-efficient cosmetic dental treatments available.
The Dental Bonding Process — What to Expect
Caring for Your Bonded Teeth
- Brush and floss consistently. Bonding requires the same daily care as natural teeth — twice-daily brushing with a non-abrasive toothpaste and daily flossing keep the bonded area clean and the surrounding gum tissue healthy.
- Avoid staining foods and beverages in the first 48 hours. Composite resin is most susceptible to staining in the first two days after placement, before it has fully hardened. Avoiding coffee, tea, red wine, and other strongly pigmented foods and drinks during this period helps maintain the brightness of your result.
- Be mindful of habits that can chip the resin. Biting your nails, chewing on pens, opening packaging with your teeth, or biting into very hard foods can chip or dislodge bonding. Being mindful of these habits significantly extends the life of your restoration.
- Wear a night guard if you grind your teeth. Bruxism places significant stress on bonded teeth and is one of the most common causes of premature bonding failure. If you grind or clench during sleep, a custom night guard is a worthwhile investment to protect both your bonding and your natural teeth.
- Keep up with your regular dental visits. We check the condition of your bonding at every routine exam and can touch up or repair any areas of wear or minor chipping before they become larger issues.
